espeakup-udeb software package provides Configure the speech synthesizer voice, you can install in your Debian 8 (Jessie) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install espeakup-udeb
espeakup-udeb is installed in your system.
Make ensure the espeakup-udeb package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep espeakup-udeb *
You will get with espeakup-udeb package name, version, architecture and description in a table
